The nights are getting longer, and that can only mean one thing - it’s officially glow-up season. Time to work on that glass skin glow, nurture a healthy gut, and (obviously) wave goodbye to inflammation, bloating, bad hair days, and everything in between. But while we’re all busy chasing our skincare dreams, what if I told you the real glow-up magic actually happens beneath the surface?


I’m Helen, a holistic life coach, and today we’re diving into the rituals that help you level up from within. Because despite what many people say, your glow-up isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling unstoppable in every part of your life. Whether you’re in your "winter arc" or just want to step into your next-level self, I’ve got you covered.


Start with your habits: Micro-habits are the secret sauce to long-lasting change. The key (and where most of us slip up) is to start small. First, visualise your future self for 5-10 minutes (maybe do it right now!). What’s her vibe? What does her career, friendships, and daily routine look like? Maybe she dedicates 15 minutes every evening to learning or makes time to meet new people weekly. Whatever it is, pick just 1-2 of her habits to start with.

The trick here is consistency, not speed. Tiny wins, daily, add up faster than you think. Once those 1-2 habits feel second nature (usually after 4-6 weeks), return to that visualisation and layer in more of her routines.


Hot tip: There are so many missed opportunities in the day to visualise your future self. The shower, waiting in line for your matcha, or en route to the gym. Find space in your day that already exists (trust me, it’s there), and tune in.

Reality check: 95% of our thoughts are on autopilot, so if you want to break out of the same old patterns, you’ve got to disrupt that cycle and make room for some empowering, next-level beliefs.

  1. Spot the Limiting Beliefs: Time to call out the beliefs that feel heavy or just don’t vibe with who you’re becoming. What’s holding you back from levelling up?

  2. Challenge Yourself with Mantras: Mantras are here to remind you daily that you’re stepping into a stronger, more confident version of you. If failure freaks you out, try this: “I release the fear of failure and embrace growth.” Or if self-love is the goal, go with: “I love and accept myself as I grow into my highest self.” Say it like you mean it.

  3. Biohack Your Routine: Layer these affirmations onto what you’re already doing. Say them out loud when you’re getting ready or brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand—it’s a sneaky brain-rewire that’ll have you feeling like this absolute QUEEN in no time.


Re-Centering Your Vibe: What Actually Matters to Future You?

Let’s talk values. We hear about "core values" all the time at work (insert annoying boss who continually reminds us of them) but don’t worry, personal values are a lot more interesting. You might be sitting here thinking, “Wait, what are mine?”

Your core values are like your personal GPS—they guide your choices, show you which habits to build, and help you decide where to put your time and energy.

How to Lock in Your Values:

  1. Think About What Matters to Future YouVisualise the future you. What values does that version of you stand by?

  2. Set Daily Habits that AlignTake those values and translate them into actions. What can you do each day to align with what matters most?

  3. Protect Your EnergySet boundaries to stay in line with your values. This might mean saying “no” to people or situations that don’t fit with where you’re headed.

  4. Check in WeeklyAsk yourself, “Am I living in line with my values this week?” It’s a small habit, but it’ll keep you grounded and growing in the right direction.


Energy Check: Focus on What Fuels You

We’ve all got limited time and energy, so where you put it seriously matters. Think about it: some things lift you up, while others just drain the life out of you. If you’re constantly pouring energy into stuff that drains you, there’s not much left for your own growth.

Energy Drainers:

  • Saying yes to every social plan

  • Late-night social media scrolls

  • Constant news updates

  • Netflix binges that go way past bedtime

  • Negative vibes from certain people (we all know one!)

Energy Boosters:

  • Moving your body

  • Time with friends who lift you up

  • Getting creative

  • Fresh air and nature

  • Slow mornings


How to Keep Your Energy in Check:

  • Make Your Own List: Write down what drains you vs. what fuels you.

  • Replace Drainers: Try blocking some social media time and swap it for journaling, stretching, or something that feeds your vibe.

  • Set Boundaries: Some boundaries are quiet (just promises to yourself), but others might need a little convo to keep things balanced.


Prioritise your energy like it’s gold. Because, honestly, it is.


Get Uncomfortable: The Real Glow-Up Happens Outside Your Comfort Zone


Let’s be honest, nothing life-changing happens in your comfort zone. If you want to level up, it’s time to get a little uncomfy. Trying new things, taking risks, or even starting a daily affirmation practice can open you up to serious growth vibes.


Weekly Uncomfy Challenge:

Each week, pick one thing that pushes you just a bit. It doesn’t have to be huge, send that text you’ve been avoiding, sign up for that class, or say yes to something new. You never know what might happen (or who you might meet!? Hello new bff). If you feel really afraid of something, it's a clue.
